Google, Meta, and TikTok have removed accounts associated with a Russian drone factory that deceitfully recruited women from Africa and forced them to assemble drones
The plant in question is the “Alabuga” drone manufacturing facility in Russia’s Tatarstan. An investigation by AP revealed that the factory lured workers under the guise of internship programs in fields like hospitality and catering. It was only upon arrival that the women discovered they would be manufacturing drones, which Russia uses to attack Ukraine.
Accounts related to the Alabuga Polytechnic College—a vocational boarding school for Russians aged 16–18 and Central Asian recruits aged 18–22, trained as drone production specialists—were also deleted.
