33 tons of stewed meat for russian soldiers was stolen in Crimea.

As the Cheka-OGPU learned, several servicemen artificially created surpluses of canned meat, sterilized, “Premium Stewed Beef,” weighing 33,462 kg in total for subsequent theft.

Law enforcement agencies opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for embezzlement on an especially large scale. The damage from the theft exceeded 24.3 million rubles. One of the members of the organized group, serviceman Abdullah Sattarov, admitted guilt and entered into a pre-trial agreement with the investigation (he testified against his fellow servicemen, spoke in detail about the circumstances of the theft, the purpose, motive, and method of its commission), so the criminal case against him was considered in a special order. The court sentenced Sattarov to two years in prison and banned him from holding certain positions for two years, and also satisfied the Defense Ministry’s civil claim against him in the amount of 11.2 million rubles.
